Car sharing came from Europe, so it's only fitting that the largest car sharing service in the world have a strong presence there. The man with the plan is Frerk-Malte Feller (Malte), President of Zipcar Europe.
Malte is responsible for keeping things zipping from London to Barcelona and beyond. He joined us following the integration of UK's Streetcar in late 2011 and the purchase of Spain's Avancar in 2012.
Prior to Zipcar, Malte held a series of leadership roles at eBay/PayPal, from heading up eBay in Germany to launching and growing various other operations in Europe, and most recently heading up PayPal Australia. (We're all pretty jealous of his air miles.)
Malte holds a Business Administration degree from the Europe-University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), and participated in the MBA program at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
